Based on roughly half of of Frank Herbert’s classic sci-fi novel, Dune: part 1 truly deserves to be described as “epic”. Steeped in lore, philosophy and politics the film explores a science fiction universe unlike any other. This story has betrayal, manipulation, clash of cultures, extraordinary abilities, prophecies and much more presented on an immensely grand scale. From the amazing otherworldly visuals and the spot on performances of the entire cast, it’s a cinematic spectacle unlike any other and a real joy to watch for any sci-fi fan.
